Safety Information for Our Fragrances

At On a Wick and a Prayer, the safety of our customers is paramount. Below you'll find important safety information organised by fragrance and product type.

General Safety Guidelines

For Candles and Wax Melts:

  • Never leave a burning candle unattended
  • Keep clear of loose fabrics si
  • Keep candles away from children and pets
  • Burn candles on a stable, heat-resistant surface
  • Keep wick trimmed to 5mm before each use
  • Discontinue candle use when 10mm of wax remains
  • For wax melts, follow your warmer manufacturer's instructions

For Reed Diffusers:

  • Keep out of reach of children and pets
  • Place on a stable surface away from edges
  • Avoid contact with skin, eyes, and clothing
  • Do not ingest
  • Use in well-ventilated areas
  • Keep away from heat sources and direct sunlight

Fragrance-Specific Safety Information

First Aid

  • If swallowed: Rinse mouth. Do NOT induce vomiting. Seek medical advice immediately.
  • If in eyes: Rinse cautiously with water for several minutes. Remove contact lenses if present and easy to do. Continue rinsing. Seek medical attention if irritation persists.
  • If on skin: Wash with plenty of soap and water. If skin irritation or rash occurs, seek medical advice.
  • If inhaled: Remove to fresh air and keep at rest in a position comfortable for breathing. Seek medical attention if symptoms persist.
